This month the Prince William Chamber of Commerce welcomed Amanda Padgett to the staff as the Member Services Coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for planning and execution of the Chamber’s close to forty annual networking and relationship-building events, a complimentary benefit of membership. She also acts as a concierge for Chamber event sponsors and annual partners, ensuring that members have a go-to staff member looking out for their best interests all along the way.
Amanda comes to the Prince William Chamber of Commerce as a 2015 graduate from Longwood University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration Management. While at Longwood, she worked as a Management & Marketing Intern for the Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce. There, she found a passion for being an integral part of her community’s inner workings.
“I can’t think of a more rewarding place to start my career,” says Amanda, “Already I am enjoying getting to know our members and helping them to make connections.” She went on to note that if there were one thing she could tell every member it would be: “As with most things, you get out of the Chamber what you put in. Coming to events is a great place to start, but if that doesn’t work for you, find a way to stay connected. I’d be more than happy to give you some ideas!”
