On Thursday, June 9 at 4:33 p. m., fire and rescue crews were dispatched to an apartment fire located in the 3800 block of Clore Place in Woodbridge.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed a fire in the apartment’s attic breezeway, and a second alarm was sounded. Firefighters extinguished the fire while checking for further extension; no further extension was found.
No injuries reported.
Red Cross was called to the scene to assist 10 adults, one child and two cats. Although eight units sustained damage, six units were posted unsafe by the Building Official, displacing a total of nine adults and two cats.
The area of origin was the attic breezeway; the cause undetermined and is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
