Communities In Schools of Northern Virginia (CIS NOVA) has been awarded funding to expand their integrated student support model into seven new schools across Prince William County.

Ballmer Group’s $165 million investment enables Communities In Schools, in partnership with local school districts, to provide critical coordinated resources to students. A trained full-time CIS professional working alongside teachers in the school will connect students to supports and services needed to succeed.

We are excited to partner with Prince William County Schools. We share an unwavering belief that every child, regardless of circumstance, is capable and deserving of success.” says Patrick Brennan, CIS NOVA President and CEO.

A recognized leader since 2013, CIS NOVA provides integrated student support to students in the Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax areas. Last year, CIS NOVA served over 13,000 students and case-managed over 500 students, 62% of which were English Language Learners and 65% qualified for Free and Reduced Meals.
