The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s signature grant cycle responding to critical need in this region is the Community Investment Funds grants. Last year, we awarded more than $400,000 to 41 organizations. We work hard each year to secure funding and build our capacity to support your work.
This year’s grants are open, and applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6.
Earlier this month, Sari Raskin, Vice President of Grants and Community Leadership, and Jill Bach, Manager of Grants and Scholarships, presented a webinar to share details of this year’s priority focus areas and funding amounts available.
Slides from this presentation are available here, and you may watch the full webinar on our website.
Our Community Investment Funds grant review committee to make the final decisions about which organizations will be funded. The committee is comprised of issue-area experts, community leaders and donors. Our role is to guide the nonprofits through this process, and to facilitate the application reviews with the committees.
