Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (VA-10) released the following statement detailing this year’s Congressional App Challenge:

“Once again we would like to announce The Congressional App Challenge which encourages students to engage their innovation and coding skills at a higher level in a team environment.  Our District is home to many successful technology companies and it is my hope that the skills our students learn in this year’s Congressional App Challenge push them to greater success as leaders in our local high-technology economy.  I look forward to the exciting new apps the students will create this year as Virginia’s 10th Congressional District enhances its reputation as the Silicon Valley of the East.”

The Congressional App Challenge runs through November 2, 2016, challenging high school students to design and create an original app for submission.  Eligible high school students in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District may enter this challenge as individuals or groups of not more than four students and will be judged by a panel chosen by the Office of Congresswoman Barbara Comstock.  The submitted app can be on any topic, provided it is original, appropriate, and has been made within the last year.  For more information, please visit https://comstock.house.gov/services/congressional-app-challenge.
