In accordance with her duties as a conferee, Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) today lent her signature to the conference report on the five-year surface transportation reauthorization, otherwise known as the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, or the FAST Act.  PWL The conference report will now be considered by the full House and Senate.

“We are one step away from final passage of this important five-year transportation bill that gives local and state governments much-needed stability.  This comprehensive bipartisan legislation works toward improving our roads, bridges, and infrastructure so that families and goods can move more freely, safely, and efficiently throughout the country.  This conference report includes a number of my provisions that focus on developing technologies and identifying best practices for congestion relief.  The conference report will now be considered by the House and Senate so that we may put it on the president’s desk.”
