Liesl Dancewear of Woodbridge held a pointe shoe decorating contest this month with a fun prize – a free photo shoot!Located at 14073 Crown Court in Woodbridge, Liesl Dancewear has been in business for six years, providing dancers with expert advice and fittings. The store is owned and operated by professional dancers and teachers and continues to grow its size and inventory along with its community involvement.Last year, Liesl Dancewear began a partnership with local dance photographer Jennifer Fitzpatrick of Artistry Reimagined. A photo studio inside the dance store allows area dancers to shine by scheduling photoshoots for auditions, senior photos, and all the memories in between. As a way to offer affordable options, Artistry Reimagined holds mini shoots periodically and this time, a contest was added!Dancers were able to decorate pointe shoe for a chance to win a free photoshoot. Due to the amazing amount of entries and creativity of local dancers, Liesl Dancewear chose three winners:First place: Brianna Hacsh of Manassas Ballet Academy in ManassasSecond Place: Natalya Mortensen of Virtuous Dance Center in FredericksburgThird Place: Abigail Cave of Linda’s Ballet Workshop in WoodbridgeFifteen other dancers signed up for the mini shoot which featured a red backdrop for the holidays.
