Westbound Interstate 66 inside the Beltway will be closed for 20-minute intervals overnight on Tuesday, March 21 for tolling construction. Starting at 9:30 p. m., the right lane of the highway will be closed to mobilize equipment. The 20-minute closures will occur between midnight and 4:00 a. m. The right lane will reopen by 5:00 a. m.
To ensure the public’s safety, Virginia State Police will stop and hold westbound traffic ahead of the construction activity. Traffic will be released after the 20-minute operations are completed.
