The Dale City “Lightning” Track Club (DCTC) traveled to Suffolk, VA June 29-30, 2013 to compete in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Virginia National Qualifier Championships. Athletes finishing in the top five (5) of their age division in each event would advance to the 2013 AAU Junior Olympic Games being held at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, July 29 – August 3, 2013. On day 1 of the event, DCTC performed exceptionally well, competing at high levels with 20 athletes advancing through the semi-final rounds to compete in the final round of events on the 2nd day of the meet. At the conclusion of the event, DCTC had 17 athletes advance to qualify for the 2013 AAU Junior Olympic Games (See Below). DCTC is very proud of all of our athletes that competed over the weekend. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support of our athletes and coaches.
