On Saturday June 15th at 7:00 pm and Sunday June 16th 2:00 pm, Dance Etc. School of the Arts under the direction of Ann Boyle will present their 32nd spring concert at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas, VA.
“Space,” a ballet first choreographed by Ann Boyle in 1986, is a mixture of classical and contemporary ballet. Incorporating selections of music from Gustav Holst’s “The Planets,” it is a loosely woven story of life on a distant planet. Our younger students will be performing scenes from various fairy tales in Act 2. Rounding out this two hour performance will be Act 3, “Revival,” presenting the popular musicals “Fame,” “West Side Story,” and “Stomp” in an up to date version danced by contemporary, tap, and jazz sutdents. Then, follow us down the yellow brick road as our hip hop students bring a modern twist to a favorite story.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $15.00.
