12/2/17 – Haymarket Holiday Celebration (Haymarket)
Haymarket’s Christmas & Holiday Celebration will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, from 3:00 – 6:00 p. m.. ‘Tis the season for the Town of Haymarket’s 27th Annual Christmas & Holiday Celebration! Bring your friends and family. Enjoy hot cocoa and cider as well as hear carols and musical performances, and roast marshmallows over the bonfire in front of Town Hall. Don’t miss Santa and Mrs. Claus as they ride through town and visit with the children!
12/2/17 – Home for Christmas – Free Concert at the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Auditorium (Woodbridge)
Woodbridge Community Choir celebrates its 51st year of offering free concerts to the public. With two dates to choose from, come join us and ignite your Christmas spirit! We’ll be singing selections of familiar holiday favorites and festive arrangements sure to make you feel at home.
12/2/17 – Holiday Night at Rippon Lodge (Woodbridge)
For one night only, see Rippon Lodge by candlelight at Christmastime. Beginning with a special tree lighting ceremony with tree ornaments decorated by local school children, visitors will see the grounds and several of the historic buildings beautifully lit with lights. Guest may tour the Holiday through the Ages decorations by candlelight, listen to music, and enjoy making seasonal crafts, a warm beverage, shopping and holiday cookies.
Celebrate the Christmas season with Northern Virginia’s very own pops orchestra in its annual family concert of cheerful carols and cherished holiday tunes. This jovial evening includes a program of sentimental favorites including selections from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” Leroy Anderson’s “Christmas Festival” and “Sleigh Ride,” and culminates in a rousing sing-a-long, in which the audience members get a chance to share in the experience.
12/9/17 – Holiday Concert at Brentsville Courthouse & Historic Centre (Bristow)
Join the Brentsville community Saturday evening for two Holiday concerts filled with seasonal music performed by the Brentsville District High School Choir at the beautiful and historic Brentsville Union Church. Enjoy hot cider and cookies by a warm bonfire.
12/9/17 – Santa comes to Rippon Lodge (Woodbridge)
You better watch out! You better not cry! Santa Claus is visiting Rippon Lodge for one afternoon only! Be on your best behavior and keep your name on the “Nice” list. Parents will be given special “Things Santa Should Know” cards upon arrival. Bring your camera for pictures and dress appropriately for weather as some activities are outside.
12/9/17 – Winterfest 2017 in Lake Ridge/ Santa’s Parade at Tackett’s Mill Center (Lake Ridge)
WinterFest begins with “Santa’s Lake Ridge Parade” from 11:00 a. m. to 12:00 noon. The parade is organized and sponsored by “Santa’s Old Bridge Parade Inc.” and begins at the corner of Minnieville Road and Harbor Drive in the VDOT lot. It moves north on Harbor Drive, turns into the Tackett’s Mill Center at the McDonalds, and circles down to the beautiful Lakeside for a meet and greet with Santa, plus an award ceremony, and the Tackett’s Mill Holiday Arts Market from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p. m. with live music, treats, and gift items.
12/9/17 – Breakfast with Historic Santa at the Old Manassas Courthouse (Manassas)
In December of 1862, artist Thomas Nast made one of the first known illustrations of Santa Claus. Come by and enjoy breakfast with Santa at the Old Manassas Courthouse! Enjoy family breakfast, make authentic 19th Century Christmas decorations and a chance to meet Santa who has dusted off that old 1862 suit and give him your wish list. Breakfast will be from 10:00 a. m. till 12:00 noon. Crafts and pictures with Santa will be open until 3:00 p. m.
12/10/17 – Dailey & Vincent: Spirit of Christmas at Hylton Performing Arts Center (Manassas)
Come enjoy a country Christmas as this award-winning band returns to our stage for a holiday concert of country and bluegrass favorites. Dubbed the “Rockstars of Bluegrass” by Country Music Television, Dailey & Vincent are celebrated throughout the music industry as one of the most exciting Bluegrass bands in America.
12/16/17 – Teen Masters Bowling Tournament at Bowl America (Manassas)
Come out to show off your bowling skills or to cheer on your favorite team at the Teen Masters Bowling Tournament in Manassas!
12/16/17 – Civil War Christmas at Leesylvania State Park (Woodbridge)
See the park’s very own jolly Civil War era Santa in his handmade, festive suit. Bring the entire family out for an afternoon of holiday cheer. Enjoy period music, costumed interpreters and light refreshments. Make decorations as folks during the Civil War did. Bring a camera for pictures with Santa.
12/16/17 – Wine Tastings & Classes at Cork & Fork in Virginia Gateway (Gainesville)
Cork & Fork brings in guest wine speakers to present their most beloved wines – wines they wish everyone would taste and love and share just as much as they do. These tastings and classes allow for the most genuine insight possible into the world of wine from the perspective of these highly trained wine professionals.
