Prince William County Department of Development Services announced the launch of its social media presence on Twitter (@PWCDDS), Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as E-Sign Up to Customer Service Bulletins to increase customer communications and business outreach, by sharing relevant, timely news and information.
The importance of visibility, transparency and immediacy in communications grows, emphasizing the increased value a presence on social and digital media provides residents, business owners and other stakeholders. This launch announcement follows the County new website launch last month.
“We are delighted to expand our communications outreach on these networks to increase connectivity and engagement with our customers,” said Director of the Department of Development Services Wade A. Hugh. “This supports the County Vision of being a Community of Choice, as well as the Department’s communications strategy of Building Customer Relationships.”
The Department of Development Services is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code by reviewing commercial and residential construction plans, issuing permits, inspecting structures, and enforcing building code requirements. The Department also manages the site and subdivision plan review and permit issuance process, administers the posting and releasing of bonds and escrows, and issues zoning permits.
