PRINCE WILLIAM, VA . . . . The Building Development and Land Development fee schedules have been revised as approved by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) during the FY14 budget adoption process. The following fee schedule revisions are effective July 1, 2013:

  • Land Development Fee Schedule – BOCS approved a 3.5% across-the-board increase, rounded to the nearest dollar, to the fee schedule. The increase will support the following fee based activities: Rezoning and Special Use Permit Applications (SUPs), Site and Subdivision Plans, Geotechnical Studies, Floodplain, Resource Protection Area Studies, Site Development Bond Administration and Permits, and Lot Grading Plan Reviews.
  • Building Development Fee Schedule – With the exceptions noted below, the BOCS approved a 3.5% across-the-board increase and 12% increase on non-residential fees.
  • Amusement Device Fees – Virginia Amusement Device Regulations, 13 VA 5-31-100, specifies the fees to be charged in this category.  However, the Code Academy Levy will be added to the base fee pursuant to Section 36-98.3 of the Code of Virginia.
  • Plan Review Filing Fees, Non-Residential – The current filing fee is based on a percentage of the final building permit fee.  No increase to the filing fee is necessary.
  • Surcharges – The Code Academy, Information Technology, and Indirect Cost surcharges will not increase.
