Lake Ridge, Va.— Dillingham Square merchants donated $1,000 to Antietam Elementary School in Lake Ridge, VA.

The donation will be used to purchase T-shirts in celebrating the school’s 12th year as a Prince William County School of Excellence. To be acknowledged as a “School of Excellence,” each school must attain high levels of performance, meet Virginia academic Annual Measurable Objectives, and achieve an overall score of 90 out of 100 points on PWCS Strategic Plan-based measures.

The donation was part of Dillingham Square’s holiday shopping spree promotion, which included a $500 shopping spree drawing and a donation to a local school. Brown, a teacher at Antietam, chose her school to receive the donation.

Since 1999, Dillingham Square has donated $16,000 to Prince William County schools. Previous winning schools include Lake Ridge Elementary, Westridge Elementary, Gar-Field High School, Springwood Elementary School, Lake Ridge Middle School and Woodbridge High School.
