Be a River Hero: Friends of the Occoquan River Cleanup

It’s time for the Occoquan River Cleanup! Meet in front of Occoquan Town Hall and collect your gloves and bags and come help tidy the riverbank and town to prevent trash from collecting in the river. Refreshments will be in a grab-and-go style, which will include packaged snacks and bottled drinks. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and proper attire for getting muddy. Community Shred Event

Join Freedom Property Management and Sales for a free, eco-friendly community shredding event! Securely shred your confidential documents and recycle responsibly. Bring any type of confidential documents you want to securely dispose of, including but not limited to, old bills, credit card statements, bank statements, tax documents, and personal records. BLK Author Expo

BLK Author Expo will bring together writers, readers, educators, students, editors, and publishers to discuss and promote African American literary contributions. Black writers are encouraged to participate in the festival to share their work, discuss their craft, and expose readers of all ages to the great diversity of African American authors in the area. This free, family-friendly event features storytelling, author exhibits, presentations, discussions, giveaways, and books!
