There are lots of Halloween and fall events coming up around the greater Prince William area. Here are just a few of them… Don’t Miss Out!

Haymarket Day

Haymarket’s biggest event of the year — don’t miss out! With a parade, vendors, entertainers, food and beer gardens, there is something for everyone.  Parking is available at the VDOT Commuter Lot at Heathcote and 15 and at Tyler Elementary. Both locations will have a free shuttle service until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15; parade starts at 10:00 a.m. | Washington Street, Haymarket

PetOberfest at Stonebridge

Family and pet friendly activities include a pet parade/costume contest, a lure course, an agility course, pet-friendly exhibitors, children’s entertainment, store discounts, prizes, and much more.  Pet photo booth donations will benefit the Prince William SPCA.  All pets in attendance must be leashed. Yorkshire Fire Department Open House

Bull Run Plaza Trick-or-Treat Event

Fall fun for all ages! Enjoy trick-or-treating, music, fall craft station, games & more! The first 200 people to stop by the event table will receive a free trick-or-treat bag. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. | Bull Run Plaza, 11010 Sudley Manor Drive, Manassas

Prince William County Hot Air Balloon Festival

The Prince William County Hot Air Balloon Festival returns, and visitors have a chance to ride in a balloon-powered basket in the sky. It’s a bucket-list event you won’t want to miss. Hot air balloons won’t be the only treat at the festival for visitors to enjoy. The Kids Zone will feature games and rides, including trains, bounce houses, rock walls, and a zip line. A DJ and live music performances from a variety of artists will provide the soundtrack for the day. Craft and retail vendor booths are the perfect way to shop and support local businesses. And of course, plenty of food vendors will be available with many different options of cuisine. Movie in the Park: BeetleJuice

Come to River Mill Park at sundown on Friday night, Oct. 21 for this fun Halloween-themed (but PG13) movie. Popcorn, candy, and kid and adult beverages will be available for purchase in the park. Potomac Festival Trick-or-Treat Event

Potomac Festival’s trick-or-treat event is the place to enjoy trick-or-treating, music, fall craft station, games & more! The first 300 people to stop by the event table will receive a free trick-or-treat bag. All event activities will take place on the sidewalk area on the Texas Roadhouse side of the shopping center. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. | Potomac Festival, Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge

Spirits of Brentsville Haunted History Trail

In 1822, the town of Brentsville opened as the County Seat. For over 200 years, the town was the site of trials and triumphs. From trials, war, and murder to depression, pranks and more, the sprits of Brentsville have awakened and eager to meet you.  Participants will want to watch their backs as they take a walk through Brentsville’s most terrifying moments in history complete with ghost stories and surprises.
