Need ideas for something to do this weekend? How about a First Friday, a circus, two heritage festivals, tea with a mermaid and princesses, a local children’s author reading, and farmers markets; there’s something for everyone! Don’t Miss Out!

First Friday: Dog Days of Summer

Downtown Manassas is rolling out the red carpet for local dogs! There will be paddling pools for dogs to cool off, dog treat vendors, dog portraits, agility course, and a walk down the red carpet for our canine friends. Food trucks and plenty of drink will be available for their humans! While you’re in town for First Friday, stop in at McCall Studio Gallery (9409 Battle Street) for their events and landscapes show debut. Circus Vazquez

Circus Vazquez comes to Potomac Mills Mall this month, bringing together a new cast of international circus superstars. Come for comedy, juggling, acrobatics and more! Health and Wellness Pop-Up

Manassas African American Heritage Festival

There will be a live DJ, DJ A-Ron. There will be 100+ vendors, including arts and crafts dealers, retailers of African Wares, youth groups, colleges and school exhibits, Health Fair, and great food vendors. Festival Salvadoreno

The Latin American community will come together again to celebrate this year’s fourth annual festival. Organized by the Salvadoran American Council (COSALVA), entertainment includes music, singers, dancers, clowns, and other performers!
