Eagle Rock Court Fire Incident

pwcdfrOn Monday, January 27th at approximately 5:00 p.m., fire and rescue crews were dispatched to a structure fire located in the 3600 block of Eagle Rock Court in Lake Ridge.

Upon arriving on the scene, firefighters observed the fire had quickly spread from the basement of the home to the first floor. A second alarm was sounded for the middle of the row townhouse but was canceled as firefighters brought it under control within 20 minutes of the first alarm.

Smoke detectors were present and sounded, alerting occupants of the fire and allowing them to safely exit the residence; two occupants were transported to a local medical facility for smoke inhalation.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries but did not require medical transport.

Red Cross was on scene to assist 8 residents displaced by the fire; 5 adults, including the 2 transported, and 3 children.

County Police assisted with traffic control.
The building department assessed the residence and posted it unsafe. The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
