Ash Wednesday Imposition of Ashes at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
February 17 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 pm
The church will be open for self-guided confession and contemplation from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Materials will be provided and music and imagery will help in setting the tone. Pastor Mark will be present and will impose the ashes as desired (while masked and keeping at arm’s length.)
A recorded service of Confession and Imposition of Ashes will be available on our YouTube channel. For those who prefer this setting, kits with prayers and a container of ashes (along with instructions) will also be available in advance of Feb. 17 . Contact the church office if you’d like to receive such a kit.
Lenten Devotions: a variety of materials are available in paper and online for daily use during Lent. Contact the church office if you’d like to receive a devotional at home.
Lent Midweek Vespers: an online midweek vespers (evening prayer) service will be available during Lent on Wednesdays. More information will be provided.
