Branding and Marketing Your Business and Yourself

The term “branding” can easily render mental pictures of sleek logos and large corporate campaigns. The truth is, the smaller the business and the tighter the marketing budget, the more vital branding is in setting your organization apart.   In this workshop, you will learn what small business branding truly entails, how you can set your company apart as well as distinguish yourself as an individual.

When writing a business plan or applying for a loan, it is essential for businesses to understand their competition and their industry. The U.S. Census Bureau website provides a wealth of free information for business owners to track and document business trends, see income levels, ages and locations of potential customer households and sees where competitive types of businesses are established. This website can be intimidating at first glance but is easy once you learn how to use it.  A representative of the U.S. Census Bureau will show attendees how to navigate the site and use it to one’s advantage.  Laptops, tablets, etc. are encouraged but not required.

Attendance is $25, which includes breakfast, lunch, and all materials. Pre-registration is required. Value: $500
