Screening of “Hidden Figures”

March 23 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is holding a special screening of the Academy Award-nominated film “Hidden Figures” at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. This inspiring movie follows the true story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe), three brilliant African American women who played a pivotal role at NASA as mathematicians during the Space Race. Their groundbreaking contributions were largely overlooked and unrecognized in their time, though they helped ensure the success of astronaut John Glenn’s historic mission as the first American and Marine to orbit the Earth.

Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased on the Foundation’s website. The movie is rated PG. Admission to the Museum and parking are always free and open to the public, no base access required.
