Don’t miss out on this great opportunity! Topics include:

How Poets/Writers Un-invite Readers and Disconnect From Their Audience. In Kim B. Miller’s keynote address, she will discuss several ways writers eliminate potential book buyers and how they disengage audience members at readings. Kim will also discuss the importance of imagery.

So Stylish, presented by Andrea Yarbough, is all about how punctuation and text features, like line breaks, can affect the way a reader understands a text. Participants gain inspiration from music and then conduct a hands-on activity where they play around with punctuation to create different effects.

Social Media, featuring Katherine Gotthardt and Maryel Stone, will discuss popular social media platforms, who they serve, and how writers can use them to generate engagement and connect with other writers.

Daybooking and how it can enhance a writer’s experience will be led by John Dutton of Spilled Ink. He will also sponsor an Open Mic so that those attending can share some of their work.

Cost: $10 for WbtR members and $15 for non-members. This workshop is for individuals 18 years and older.
