The Fauquier Community Theatre is pleased to announce its March production of William Shakespeare’s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING is one of Shakespeare’s best-known and best-loved comedies. Home from the wars, young Count Claudio falls in love with Hero, daughter of the Governor of Messina. Don Pedro, his master, works behind the scenes to make the match, but his evil brother Don John secretly plots to ruin the courtship with slanders on Hero’s virtue. Meanwhile Beatrice, niece of Leonato, continues her war of insults with Benedick, the soldier who has vowed that he will never marry, while the rest of the cast conspires to bring the two of them together. Director Will McLeod has put together a highly talented group of FCT veterans and newcomers who will entertain you with Shakespearan plots, counterplots, and humor.
Performances will be at the Theatre at Vint Hill, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton, on Fridays and Saturdays, March 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 7:30 p. m. (please note the change of curtain times from previous seasons); and Sundays, March 11, 18 and 25 at 2:00 p. m. The show is being produced by Rodrigo and Rebecca Pool. Order tickets today at fctstage.org. FCT is partially supported by a grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment of the Arts.
