The Fauquier Community Theatre is thrilled to present LERNER AND LOEWE’S MY FAIR LADY.
Enjoy FCT’s rendition of this classic musical where Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl, seeks out speech lessons from the intelligent, yet eccentric, professor Henry Higgins. Professor Higgins makes a wager with linguistic colleague Colonel Pickering that he can pass Eliza off as a Duchess in six months’ time. Watch as Eliza transforms into an elegant lady and finds herself in the process.
The tale is brought to life through witty social commentary and one of musical theatre’s greatest scores including “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” “With a Little Bit of Luck,” “The Rain in Spain,” “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “Get Me to the Church on Time,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”
Featuring a cast of talented actors including Emily Miller as Eliza Doolittle, Peter Marsh as Professor Higgins, David Horne as Colonel Pickering, Mark Kaiser as Alfred Doolittle, Hilary Pierce as Mrs. Pearce, and Cristian Bustillos as Freddy. The show is directed by Lucia Hanover and produced by Amanda Gibson.
Performances will be held at the Theatre at Vint Hill, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton on Fridays and Saturdays, May 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7:30 p. m.; and Sundays May 5, 12, and 19 at 2:00 p. m. Order tickets today at FCTstage.org or by leaving a message at 540-349-8760.
