Fire and Rescue Recruit School Graduation Class 2018-2

On Thursday, Feb. 7 at 9:00 a. m., the Department of Fire and Rescue held its graduation ceremony for Recruit Class 2018-2 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. Battalion Chief Chris Granger presided over the ceremony.

Class 2018-2 consists of Fire and Rescue Technicians who successfully completed 29 weeks of rigorous academic and physical training at the Department’s Public Safety Training Center in Nokesville. Each student performed more than 1,392 hours of training. The training consisted of one week of Orientation/Study Skills/Health, Nutrition and Fitness, eight weeks of Emergency Medical Training, 15 weeks of Fire Training, and five weeks of Specialized Training.
