Beginning Saturday April 1, 2017, the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue, the Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department, and the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department will begin training in acquired structures located on South Grant Avenue. Training in these structures will conclude on Friday April 7, 2017 at 6:00 p. m. Several structures have been made available by Stanley Martin Homes, with several more projected over the next couple of months. Fire Department units will be using synthetic smoke to create a realistic training environment for firefighters to practice search, rescue, ventilation, and hose line operations.
