Beginning this afternoon, October 5, 2016, the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue, Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department, and City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department personnel will begin training in acquired structures located on Old Dominion Drive, Grant Avenue, and Sheridan Lane in Manassas. Several structures have been made available to date, with several more projected over the next couple of months. Fire Department units will be using synthetic smoke to create a realistic training environment for firefighters to practice search, rescue, ventilation, and hose line operations.
