Garnering 62 percent of the vote, Frank Principi will continue to serve as the Woodbridge District Supervisor for the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. As he knocked on the doors of thousands of area residents, Principi focused on the tenants of his years of office: Better transportation, development and neighborhoods.
“I am honored to represent the people of Woodbridge on the Board of County Supervisors, and by the opportunity to make continued progress in building a New Woodbridge,” says Principi, whose accomplishments since taking office in 2008 have included securing more than $1 billion of private and public investment to revitalize the Route 1 corridor.
With construction to widen Route 1 and add sidewalks and multi-use trails underway, a number of parks and recreation improvements completed and the addition of a new school and 36 classrooms approved, Principi says job growth will be a renewed focus in the months ahead.
“Private investment follows public investment,” says Principi. “The transformation taking place in our community brings with it many of the elements that companies look for when relocating—ease of transit, along with mix of housing options, strong schools and a variety of recreational options for employees. We are laying the groundwork for greater at-place employment in Woodbridge.”
