Provided by House of Mercy
House of Mercy is hosting a free Wreath Assembly class using silk flowers on Friday April 15 from 5:30-6:30 p. m. The instructor, Iaenz Pospolita, is providing all of the supplies free of charge for patrons to create their own masterpieces.
Pospolita is a master artisan of wreath making. Although this class will feature Christmas wreaths, the techniques learned can use any type of silk flower. This is a perfect way to learn the basics of themed floral arrangements.
Advanced registration is required so the supplies are adequate. Call House of Mercy 703-659-1636, or use the “Contact” form at the House of Mercy website (houseofmercyva.org), or sign up in person at the House of Mercy Thrift Store.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p. m., and until 7:00 p. m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
House of Mercy Thrift Store is a public thrift store located at 8170 Flannery Ct, Manassas VA 20109. The sale of very gently used clothing, accessories, and home goods help to provide programs that serve the poor in the greater Manassas, Gainesville, and Nokesville areas. Everything in the store is supplied by generous donors, and is clean, fashionable, and trendy.
Additionally, enrolled low-income clients receive a monthly clothing stipend for a minimum of three months from the House of Mercy aid program. PWL This allows those in need to choose their clothing so that their circumstances remain confidential. This promotes dignity and grace for those House of Mercy serves.
