Open Space Arts, in collaboration with Edutainment Productions Inc., proudly announces the launch of “Freedom Notes: A Juneteenth Celebration Campaign,” a dynamic and immersive series of events celebrating Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. This campaign aims to honor the rich cultural heritage and enduring spirit of African Americans through music, art, and storytelling.

Juneteenth Celebration Campaign will Feature performances by local artists, and showcase a diverse array of musical genres, from gospel and jazz to R&B and hip-hop, reflecting the multifaceted contributions of African American musicians.

In addition to the upcoming festivities, the current art exhibition on display at Open Space Arts Arts features carefully curated works that tell the story of an artist’s pride in their creation and individuality, further highlighting the importance of freedom of expression.

Freedom Notes will also shine a spotlight on the young talent in Prince William County through a theatre recitation with a cast of PWCS students.  The recitation is slated to provide an engaging and interactive storytelling experience that features narratives from African American history, literature, and personal testimonies.
