A major effort led by George Mason to create Northern Virginia’s first Innovation District has been awarded $2.6 million in Growth and Opportunity for Virginia (GO Virginia) funds. The 3,800-acre economic development zone is centered around George Mason’s SciTech Campus, and will accelerate scientific advancement, bolster startups and established employers, and create high-quality jobs.
The district includes Innovation Park, which houses major employers such as NAL Research Corporation, American Type Culture Collection, and the newly rebranded NOVA Live, as well as the Innovation Town Center project with housing and retail development. Learn More
