Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia (GOTR NOVA) is proud to share that Chris Holland and Shauna Moller were named as recipients of the 2025 Remarkable Volunteer Award, recognizing their exceptional service, leadership, and commitment to empowering young girls across the region.

Shauna Moller, a Community Resource Officer with the Manassas City Police Department and current Girls on the Run coach, has been instrumental in expanding GOTR’s reach in underserved communities.

“I love coaching Girls on the Run not only because the emotional intelligence these girls show at such a young age is astounding, but also because the lessons taught are a constant reminder for me to be a better person,” said Shauna Moller. “Sometimes, I teach a lesson and think, I really needed to hear this right now. Everyone needs a reminder to access their star power now and then — and receiving this award tells me I’ve been doing just that.”
