Global Conference at Hylton High School

C.D. Hylton High School’s Center for International Students and Languages (CISL) program is hosting “Connecting with the World: People, Places, Language, and Culture. ” The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. CISL is seeking presentation proposals from those interested in sharing knowledge of customs or culture based on global experiences. Propose your session by completing this form.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Mariam Afrasiabi. She is senior civil society advisor in the Civil Society and Media Division at USAID’s Center of Excellence on Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance in the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance. The conference will also feature 50-minute breakout sessions representing a wide variety of international topics and different countries. Presenters are from the Washington metro area and our local community, including PWCS educators, parents and graduates.

Participants will be offered a light breakfast and full lunch, with choices from local restaurants offering international cuisine. The conference is open to all students, parents, faculty, and members of the community.
