The Prince William County Arts Council is excited to announce that the Board of County Supervisors has reopened the grant cycle for a second round of grants in support of the arts for fiscal year 2023. All nonprofit organizations in the greater Prince William County area, to include Manassas and Manassas Park, are encouraged to apply. The grant application deadline is Sept. 16, 2022, 5:00 pm.
Grants are available through the New and Emerging Grant program and the General Operating Grant. The New and Emerging Grants are designed to assist newly established art start-up nonprofit groups find their footing through providing some assistance within the first three years of their existence. The General Operating Grants are available to ensure that established nonprofit organizations have every opportunity to sustain themselves as they continue to provide rich cultural and art performances to our citizens across the region.
Organizations in arts education, community arts, dance, electronic media, festivals, folk arts, literature, minority arts, music, theatre, and visual arts across the greater Prince William, Manassas and Manassas Park areas are encouraged to apply.
“Prince William County General Operating Arts Grants are one of the ways the County invests in sustaining and advancing a diverse and inclusive network of arts organizations and artists,” says Herb A. Williams, arts recreation specialist for the Prince William County Arts Council. “One hundred percent of funds flow directly to arts organizations and artists across the greater Prince William, Manassas, and Manassas Park area.”
“We work to ensure the arts reach into the seven districts across our county, including Manassas and Manassas Park; creating and sustaining innovative arts programs that contribute to quality of life and to community vitality,” adds Williams.
Grant applications can be found on the Arts Council website at pwcartscouncil.org. All applications must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at 5:00 pm.
