The blockbuster Broadway musical “Hamilton” portrays a relationship between George Washington and Alexander Hamilton that might need some expert clarification. The Ruth E. Lloyd Information Center for Genealogy and Local History, or RELIC, will host an event that might clear up any confusion.

George Washington scholar Peter R. Henriques will present “Right Hand Man? Alexander Hamilton’s Relationship with George Washington: The Musical vs. the Reality” at the Bull Run Regional Library at 8051 Ashton Avenue at 7:00 p. m. on Nov. 28.

Henriques, Professor Emeritus of History at George Mason University, will talk about whether the two men were friends, the importance of their relationship and what caused their falling out during the American Revolution.

Henriques has authored numerous books and articles, including “Realistic Visionary: A Portrait of George Washington.”

The program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested, but not required. To find out more about the program or to register, call 703-792-4540, email relic2@pwcgov.org or visit pwcgov.org/library and click on “Events.”
