Summer Is Almost Over
Can you believe summer will come to an end a little over a month from now? Sad, but true. We’ll then get to see what kind of autumn Mother Nature has in store – a summer-like autumn or a tried-and-true traditional crisp autumn. A gradual cooling into a nice crisp fall (which HMI is hoping for) will lead right into the 2026 Historic Manassas Fall Jubilee come Oct. 3, 2026.
BUT – here’s what’s ahead for August/September:
The rest of August is quiet (major events) but make sure to follow HMI on social media for postings of weekly downtown events, such as:
- August 20: Gathered on Center ribbon cutting
- Sept. 4: First Friday
- Sept. 19: Edgar Rohr Memorial Car Show
- Sept. 19: Manassas International Food Festival
- Sept. 26: Manassas Latino Festival

In October, “First Friday” will take place on the SECOND Friday of October due to the Fall Jubilee. Mark your calendar with Oct. 9 for First Friday so you don’t miss the fun!
