Local Delta Sigma Theta Chapter assists community with health coverage enrollment
January 12, 2015, Prince William, VA–The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is working with The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to assist individuals in the community to obtain health insurance coverage.
The chapter has designated two Saturdays, January 31 and February 7, as “Get Covered, Stay Covered Days”. Enrollment events will be held on January 31, at First Mount Zion Baptist Church (16622 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, Va.) from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and February 7, at First Baptist Church (9258 Center Street, Manassas, VA.) from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A presentation on the Health Insurance Marketplace will be conducted and certified health insurance marketplace enrollers will be available to answer questions and assist individuals to obtain healthcare coverage.
Individuals should have the following information on hand:
- Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants)
- Employer and income information for every household member who needs coverage (W-2 forms or pay stubs)
- Policy number for any current health insurance plans
- Completed Employer Coverage tool
