Across PWCS, students and staff marked Earth Week with projects and activities that raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and taking action.
At Forest Park High School, the A-Street Bruins challenged the school community to collect recyclable plastic bags as part of the Trex’s Plastic Film Recycling Challenge. The students collected bags from classrooms once per week and learned about the impact of plastic waste on the environment.
Bel Air and Enterprise Elementary Schools also participated in the Trex’s Plastic Film Recycling Challenge and placed in the Top 25 (Mid-Atlantic Region) for total plastic bags recycled.
