On Saturday, March 24, HOLA is hosting a free workshop about Biodance by Luz Marina. The worshop will be held at TODOS Supermarket (13905 Jefferson Davis Hwy., second floor meeting room, Woodbridge), starting at 2:00 p. m.
Biodance is a system of affective integration through which we awaken and strengthen trust in life, in ourselves and in others, increasing the joy of living. It was created by Rolando Toro Araneda, a Chilean psychologist and anthropologist, in the 1960s. It allows us to find the greatest coherence between what we think, feel, do and say to live healthier, fuller and happier lives.
The workshop is open to anyone regardless of race, age, religious or political creed. It is not necessary to know how to dance.
Biodance has multiple benefits on a physical, emotional, relational and existential level, helping to develop self-esteem, creativity and confidence. Some benefits are an increase in well-being and health, decreased stress, and greater vitality.
The workshop monitor is Luz Marina, a professional of Biodance since 2011;she has a certificate from IBF International Biocentric Foundation (four years of training) and international experience. She is doing other Bio-Dance workshops with more specifics such as Biodance for companies, affective integration for the Family, and Biodance for Children, Educational Coaching and more. She was the winner of the Call for Encourages 2012 of the Ministry of Culture within the framework of the celebration of the International Day of Dance “Colombia a country that dances.”
Aldo Grossi will collaborate in this workshop as translator, engineer and supporter. We thank Luz Marina and Aldo for offering this free workshop to the community.
