The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is kicking off a month of celebration at the National Museum of the Marine Corps with two special evening concerts and a full lineup of holiday activities for the whole family. From stirring performances by renowned Marine bands to visits with Santa, Christmas films, and sweet seasonal treats, December at the Museum is designed to delight visitors of all ages. As always, admission and parking are free, and the Museum is open daily except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Holiday Evening Concerts
Celebrate the season with two signature musical performances:
- Quantico Marine Band Holiday Concert. Thursday, Dec. 11 | 7 to 8 p.m.
- “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band Concert & Sing-Along. Wednesday, Dec. 17 | 7 to 8 p.m.
During these evenings, the Museum, Rifle Range, and Museum Store will be open until 7 p.m., with concessions (including snacks and hot beverages) available through
Seasonal Bites & Festive Flavors
Visitors can savor special holiday menus:
- Tun Tavern (open until 6:45 p.m.) will serve a Hot Turkey Sandwich with stuffing and cranberry on ice box bread, plus indulgent seasonal desserts like the Hot Chocolate Spiced Brownie with marshmallow cream and Banana Pudding topped with pretzel crumble and salted caramel drizzle.
- Devil Dog Diner (open until 6:45 p.m.) will offer pre-order pizza and the same seasonal sweets.

- Family Day: Visits with Santa – Meet Santa, snap free photos, and enjoy hands-on kids’ activities.
- Holiday Film Series – Catch Christmas favorites on the Giant Screen inside the Medal of Honor Theater, including The Santa Clause, Shrek the Halls, and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.
- Cookies, Crafts & Cocoa – Kids can decorate picture frames, sip hot cocoa, and enjoy holiday cookies.
- U.S. Mint at the Museum – Shop the 250th USMC Commemorative Coins, available while supplies last.

Dedicated to the preservation and promulgation of Marine Corps history, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation was established in 1979 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation supports the historical programs of the Marine Corps in ways not possible through government funds.
