House Doctors, the national professional handyman company, is pleased to announce that Tom Larsen and Maria Loveless, the owners of House Doctors of Manassas, have been recognized with three national awards – the President’s Award, the Customer Service Representative of the Year Award and a Business Growth Award. The awards were presented during the company’s national conference on Feb. 24.

“Tom and Maria are leaders in the House Doctors franchise family. As multi-unit owners, they are brand builders and ambassadors and are always striving for excellence in all they do. They have built a great team and have developed exemplary business practices allowing them to provide exceptional service to their customers.  These attributes allowed them to show tremendous growth in 2017, while still exhibiting excellent financial strength and profitability. Tom and Maria also never turn down a call from either a franchise candidate looking for information or a fellow franchisee looking for some advice.  His team is always willing to share their exemplary business practices and we are happy to give Team Manassas the President’s Award. We look forward to their continued success in the future,” House Doctors President Jim Hunter said.

House Doctors offers professional handyman services focused on customer service, professionalism, and quality workmanship. Their goal is to make home improvements easier for their customers by being on time, doing the job right the first time and offering a one-year workmanship guarantee. House Doctors of Manassas serves all of Prince William County, Fairfax County and Loudoun County.

“We have outstanding processes, excellent customer service and great people. For the customer, that translates into a hassle-free, top-notch handyman experience. That’s what sets us apart,” Tom said. “We are looking forward to continuing to grow so we can serve even more people in our community.”

While the President’s Award recognizes the franchise for excellence overall and the Sales Increase Award is attributed to the company’s 71 percent growth, the Customer Service Representative of the Year Award was presented specifically to Georgia Loveless. At only 22, Georgia has built an excellent rapport in the community for her ability to work seamlessly with customers and technicians. She is also always willing to help other House Doctors franchisees, especially when it comes to processes, customer service and operations support.  Due to her excellent performance and strong leadership skills, Georgia has been promoted to the position of Operations Supervisor.

“Georgia was an outstanding Customer Service Representative for us in 2017 and has already demonstrated proficiency in her new role as Operations Supervisor.  In this new role, Georgia continues to support process improvement and sharing of information with our House Doctors family, but now is also responsible for the day-to-day performance of our technicians and office staff.  Her responsibilities include overseeing training, scheduling, safety, job performance and quality of work,” Tom said.

Georgia credits her successes to the mutual respect she shares with the technicians, her dedication to processes and her way of working with customers – both when they are happy and in the rare case when they’re not.

“When I started this job, I quickly found out that I have a real passion for processes and systems, which is vital to this role. And, although I had limited experience working with customer service, I’ve grown into that role too. I try to handle every phone call with a smile and I always make sure I’m fair and transparent,” Georgia said. “I’m excited and looking forward to working in my new role as Operations Supervisor. I was initially a bit apprehensive working in a male dominated industry, but the technicians were accepting of me as a Customer Service Representative, which gave me the encouragement in my new supervisor role. They know I respect them and what they do, and they respect me for the support I provide to them. I don’t want to be out there swinging a hammer and they don’t want to be in the office interfacing with all the customers.”
