HV TECHNOLOGIES, Inc. started as a one-man company, founded in 1998 by Alain Bolliger, a veteran in the High Voltage (HV) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) industries. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, HVT’s first large order was in 2000, to supply a major HV Test Floor for a large power transformer company. Today, HVT is one of the most prominent contributors within the EMC and HV world, supplying test equipment to almost every major company in the industry in North America, with more than 1,500 customers in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

As its reputation in the industry grew, HVT became supplier of major EMC test labs for the US Navy, Airforce, Army and all major avionics manufacturers and suppliers. HVT has also evolved into a family business, with Bolliger’s sons Dominique and Patrick, a Ph.D. materials scientist and an engineer, respectively, now serving on its management team.

In 2017, HVT achieved ISO 9001 quality certification and this year is working towards accreditation as an ISO 17025 calibration lab at our facility in Virginia. “As we celebrate this business milestone, these accreditations help to further our vision to be a leading, full service provider of high quality, HV and EMC test equipment,” said Alain Bolliger.  “We have enjoyed tremendous growth, and look ahead to new opportunities to continually enhance our ability to serve the HV and EMC testing communities.”

HVT is a prominent supplier of High Voltage (HV) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test equipment, dedicated to serving the testing equipment needs for the power utility, power apparatus, and electronic equipment industries.  HVT’s skilled staff strives to provide the most accurate and precise HV and EMC testing and measurement equipment and support to customers through strategic partnerships with industry leading manufacturers.
