MANASSAS, Va., Feb. 24, 2014 – Emmy-nominated children’s theater troupe Pushcart Players brings the magic and wonder of a beloved fairytale to life when the ensemble performs “Happily Ever After – A Cinderella Tale” at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This performance is a part of the Hylton Family Series, featuring events for families to enjoy and experience the arts together.

This delightful musical adaptation is based on a timeless tale that has been passed down from generation to generation. “Happily Ever After – A Cinderella Tale” is the enchanting story about the triumph of inner beauty, courage and kindness over greed, arrogance and cruelty. Pushcart Players uses this heartwarming tale to teach children lessons about how goodness, generosity and compassion prevail in the end; the dark side of bullying behavior; and the importance of making good choices and taking responsibility for our actions.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary season, Pushcart Players presents fully mounted productions for children, ranging from fairy tales to historical plays. Based in Verona, N.J., this stellar ensemble has been nominated for an Emmy Award for its primetime specials on CBS, and has been invited to perform at the White House.
