The Hylton Performing Arts Center has released its schedule of performances for September and October 2018. The beginning months of the 2018/2019 season are filled with thrilling productions as part of the Hylton Center’s four main series: Hylton Presents, Hylton Family Series, Matinee Idylls, and American Roots Series, as well as a Hylton Center EXTRA! presentation. Tickets for these and other events are available at HyltonCenter.org.

The Hylton Presents fall schedule opens with The Capitol Steps, the political comedy group making its back-by-popular-demand return on Sept. 22. The following week, on Sept. 29, acclaimed pianist and classical music connoisseur Jeffrey Siegel presents a new Keyboard Conversations® program celebrating the legacy of Leonard Bernstein. On that same day, the Hylton Family Series offers a family-friendly performance featuring Aga-Boom, and the American Roots Series kicks off its second season with Chris Jones & The Night Drivers.

The Hylton Center continues its diverse performing arts offerings on Oct. 2 with a combined lunch and concert experience featuring Gourmet Symphony and conductor John Devlin, as part the ever-popular Matinee Idylls series. Just a few days later, on Oct. 6, Grammy Award®-winning guitarist Will Ackerman makes his debut at the venue in an exclusive Hylton Center EXTRA! performance. Hylton Presents picks right back up on Oct.12 with a Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra concert that features clarinetist Eddie Daniels in a tribute to Benny Goodman. The world-renowned Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble delights classical music lovers performing works by Glazunov, Françaix, and Beethoven on Oct. 14. Finally, the Chinese Warriors of Peking wrap up an eventful start to the new season with high-intensity martial arts and impressive acrobatics on Oct. 28.

Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Hylton Center Ticket Office (open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.), by calling 703-993-7759, or through the Hylton Center’s website.
