IKEA is excited to introduce SAGOSKATT 2021 – a new, playful collection of soft toys designed by children, for children – now available in IKEA U.S. stores*.
IKEA believes that children are the most important people in the world, which is why 100% of proceeds from SAGOSKATT sales directly benefit Save the Children’s relief and recovery efforts in the United States.
SAGOSKATT features six delightfully unique and creative soft toys – from an eggplant car to a mouse dressed as a ladybug. It’s the result of IKEA’s annual global Soft Toy Drawing Competition, where children around the world are invited to draw the soft toy of their dreams for the chance to see them come to life. This year’s winners, chosen from more than 71,000 entries globally, include:
- SAGOSKATT Soft toy llama ($4.99): “I’ve drawn a llama, an animal that I like. I told my soft toy to always be with you and keep you company. Give Llama a lot of love, because it’s special.” – Christel, 6
- SAGOSKATT Soft toy ladybug mouse ($4.99): “My soft toy looks like a mouse dressed as a ladybug. She’s changing costumes for a carnival party. Lay with her and treat her well.” – Maria, 9
- SAGOSKATT Soft toy Globe man ($4.99): “It’s the beautiful planet we live on and I dream that one day I can rollerblade to every corner of the Earth. There is only one planet, so we must take care of it.” – Yo-Pong, 12
- SAGOSKATT Soft toy eggplant car ($4.99): “My Halloween-themed terrifying car likes to lie under my bed and scare intruders away. You can have fun, too, when you see how my car frightens the enemies.” – Ayaan, 8
- SAGOSKATT Soft toy candy ($4.99): “I love candy and my soft toy also eats loads of candy. She’s lucky since she can travel and make other children happy. Please hug a lot.” – Cleménce, 8
- SAGOSKATT Soft toy brown bear ($4.99): “My soft toy is a bear and during the day it rides on a dog. Good bear, soon you’ll be loved! Treat him well and sometimes watch movies together.” – Sofia, 6
Over the years, hundreds of thousands of creative kids around the world have participated in the IKEA Family Soft Toy Drawing competition. Now it is time again! From now through Nov. 20, children (aged 0 to 12 years old) of any IKEA Family member have the opportunity to submit a drawing for a chance to have their design come to life as a limited-edition soft toy.
