Join in the Fun – Attend a Family Friendly Health Event

Get out and enjoy spring by participating in an outdoor event. The following are family-friendly events hosted by Prince William County Public Schools and PTOs. If you have an additional school-sponsored event that is open to the community, please send information to smithskl@pwcs.edu.

The Viking Trials – Fun Dash and Festival

The Class of 2019 is hosting a fun dash and festival that will be held in the Woodbridge High School football field and track on Saturday, April 14, from 11:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. There will be three races. The first race will be at 11:30 a. m. for children ages 5 to 7. The second race will be at 12:30 p. m. for children ages 8 to 10. The third race will be at 1:30 p. m. for ages 11 to 14. Early registration for runners is $9 which consists of admission. Runners may enter on the day of the race, for a fee of $12. All participants are required to register. The participants will receive dog tags for completing their race.  General admission is $5 per person, which gets you into the event and to also enjoy the booths.

If it rains the day of the event, The Viking Trials will be moved to April 21.

Patriot High School Interact Club “Supporting disABILITIES Around the World 5K Walk/Run”

For the fifth year, Patriot High School’s Interact Club will host its “Supporting disABILITIES Around the World 5K Walk/Run” on Saturday, April 28, ceremony begins at 7:30 a. m. at Patriot High School, 10504 Kettle Run Road in Nokesville. This event promotes education and community awareness of those with disabilities. Funds support scholarships for individuals with an IEP to continue their education vocationally or through college.
