The Prince William County Police Department provides outstanding law enforcement services to a community of more than 450,000 residents. The nationally accredited Department is composed of four divisions and 13 bureaus. It provides police services to a County that boasts urban, suburban and rural areas, 25 miles south of Washington, D.C.

The Police Department provides a rewarding career in law enforcement, from community policing to criminal investigations. The Department also employs more than 150 non-sworn members who provide vital services to the Department and the community.

The Department offers a variety of specialized units and has a nationally accredited Criminal Justice Academy, where police recruits are trained. Experienced officers maintain their certifications and improve upon their professional development by attending classes at the Academy. They can also attend courses at local academies due to cooperative agreements.

The highly trained men and women of the Prince William County Police Department are dedicated to continually providing outstanding police services.

To learn more, meet with a Police Department recruiter at one of the monthly recruiting open houses. These events are held at the Charlie T. Deane Central District Station, 5036 Davis Ford Rd., Woodbridge. The events are held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The next event is Saturday, Feb. 6.
