FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS IN PRINCE WILLIAM & MANASSAS
Thousands are expected to line Dale Boulevard on Saturday morning for the 47th annual Dale City Independence Day parade. The annual tradition in Dale City showcases scouting troops, churches, politicians, performing arts groups and other groups from throughout the area. The Family Fun Day festivities, including vendors, games and entertainment.
The fun starts with children’s activities, food vendors and a red, white and blue hayride followed by a fireworks display at the Manassas Museum. Bring your lawn chairs and get there early to get the best spots!
The Freedom Museum in Manassas Open House
The Freedom Museum in Manassas will host an open house July 4 from 10:00 a. m. – 4:00 p. m. to celebrate war heroes from Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park from the Spanish American War through the present day.
The Manassas Park Parks and Recreation Department is hosting Fourth of July celebration at Signal Hill Park. Bring a blanket and lawn chairs to enjoy fireworks display.
In Woodbridge, the Potomac Nationals are hosting its Fourth of July annual fireworks show after the baseball game at Pfitzner Stadium. It’s the ultimate Fourth of July picnic all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers and sides.

Bristoe Station Battlefield Park contains the sites of some of the heaviest fighting at Bristoe Station. Join park historians for a special walking tour of New Bristow Village to learn about the events that took place there.
Learn about daily life of soldiers in the European and Pacific Theatres from living historians portraying Axis and Allied soldiers. Learn about their equipment, armaments, historic military vehicles, and medical care on and off the battlefield. Also explore how citizens at home supported the war effort and view original WWII artifacts.
Embark on a tour of Latin American dance with the Latin Ballet of Virginia at Hylton Performing Arts Center. Learn more about the steps and history of dances like the Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata along with Flamenco and Capoeira.
Meet The Artists Reception Artists Deena Hunkler-Sanks and Francesca Di Lorenzo team up again to show the contrast presented by Deena’s “Still Life” oil paintings and Francesca’s “From Life” sculptures. Hosted at The Loft Gallery in Historic Occoquan.
A two-day sales event with lots of unique finds and fun at Historic Occoquan. There will be plenty of refreshing lemonade and lemon treats to keep you going. Look for yellow balloons at over 25 participating shops.
One of the most famous incidents of the Civil War was Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson changing the course of 1st Manassas by leading his Stonewall Brigade in defense of the Henry Hill. Join local historians for a special anniversary bus tour highlighting Jackson’s route from Winchester to the plains of Manassas. Tour stops include Winchester, Delaplane, Mitchell’s Ford, Ben Lomond Historic Site, and Manassas National Battlefield.
Join us at the Manassas Museum for a free book talk with Patrick L. O’Neill on his book “Virginia’s Presidential Homes” at 1:30 p. m. “Virginia’s Presidential Homes” takes a visual excursion to the homes of the eight Virginia-born men who served as president of the United States: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Woodrow Wilson.
Bring your child to explore history through sight, sound, smell, and touch through hands-on activities and crafts at Ben Lomond Historic Site & Old Rose Garden.
The Civil War Basic Camp is a unique, hands on approach to the history of the American Civil War. Activities include enlistment, drill and tactics, uniforms and equipment, flags, food ways and shelters used by both Union and Confederate Infantry.
Variety of exhibitions will be available for display. Exhibitors have an incredible knowledge base and are able to help customers find what they’re looking for.
Visit Ben Lomond, historical site where Confederates used as hospital facility after the Battle of First Manassas. The weekend will consist of demonstrations, tours, children’s activities, and a special evening program recreating the hospital on Saturday evening from 6:30 p. m. – 8:30 p. m.
The Home Front Camp at Brentesville Courthouse Historic Centre is designed to give participants a feel of what it was like for a young person to live during Civil War when brothers or fathers were off to war. Activities will include farm chores, food ways to include substitutions, Court day, 19th century fishing, letters to loved ones, sewing and needle work, and on the last day a community picnic with homemade ice cream.

July 3 – Independence Days in the Republic!
Celebrate Independence Day at Brew Republic Bierwerks with growler deals on Monday (7/3) and Tuesday (7/4). Special holiday hours: Noon to 11pm on Monday (7/3) and 12:00 Noon-4:00 p. m. on Tuesday (7/4).
July 3 – Fifth Anniversary
The Winery at Bull Run is celebrating its 5th anniversary with live music by Matt Waller on Saturday, live music by Special Occasions on Sunday, and the Bone BBQ food truck!
July 6 – Citizen’s Choice Randall (Beer Infusion) Day
Citizen submitted a vote what would go great infused into beer for Brew Republic Bierwerks. The top choice each week will be featured in our taproom on Thursdays (4:00-7:00 p. m.) and the citizen submitting the winning idea will get a sample of the beer they concocted.
July 8 – Detox to Retox…Beer & Yoga
At Brew Republic Bierwerks, you can rewind with Vinyasa Yoga for both beginners and the advanced and get a post-yoga pour of any beer on tap.
July 9 – Civil War Day at The Winery at Bull Run
Experience living history with Civil War reenactors, The Ladies of the Blue & Grey, live music from the Page County Ramblers, and Food Trucks The Bone BBQ, The Frenchman Food Truck, & The Inside Scoop Dessert Truck, Virginia wine, and more.
