To help you get into the field faster, the Development Services’ Land Development Division is pleased to announce a new Conditional Plan Approval process.

You no longer need to wait for the County Attorney to finalize all deeds and plats before receiving your stamped final plan. If your technical reviews are complete and the stormwater maintenance agreement is approved by Environmental Management, you can obtain a stamped final plan and approval letter to jumpstart your next steps.

With a conditionally approved final plan, you can immediately begin:

  • Permitting: Obtaining your VESMP Permit and external agency permits.
  • Site Prep: Distributing hardcopy final plans and scheduling your pre-construction meeting.

How to request Conditional Approval:

  1. Check Eligibility: Ensure all review agencies have approved your final plan.
  2. Upload to ePortal: Once you receive a “Signature Summary Letter” from your Project Manager upload your final plan and pending legal documents simultaneously.
  3. 7-Business Days Turnaround: Your Project Manager will digitally stamp the final plan and email your Approval Letter within seven (7) business days.

While this allows for parallel tasks, please be aware that your final Site or Subdivision Permit will not be issued until all hardcopy legal documents are fully approved, processed by the County, and recorded.
