The Board of Directors of Keep Prince William Beautiful announced the hiring of Lynda Kummelt as the organization’s Executive Director. “The Board has been blown away by Lynda’s knowledge of the subject matter, her commitment to the community, and her ability to run a tight ship of staff and volunteers,” said Sheyna Burt, owner of The Law Office of Sheyna Nicole Burt, PLC, and President of the Keep Prince William Beautiful Board of Directors.
“Having started as an intern seeking credit for college, I have had a chance to learn and grow within this remarkable nonprofit. The volunteers who support our environmental programs take time out of their busy lives to help support our mission,” Kummelt says. “I look forward to growing our volunteer base so our programs can have the best impact on the environment in Prince William County. It has been encouraging to work with leaders in the community, government, and other nonprofits to make Prince William County a beautiful, thriving county.”
Previously, Ms. Kummelt was a Sergeant in the United States Army and a small business owner in Indiana. She is a graduate of Kaplan University for both her undergraduate degree and her Master’s of Public Health. Ms. Kummelt is passionate about environmental and animal welfare issues. Her time away from Keep Prince William Beautiful is spent with her family and pursing a Doctor of Public Health degree.
